We’re pleased to announce that we have successfully achieved Cyber Essentials certification – a government-backed standard that demonstrates our commitment to protecting your data and our business systems. This is the 4th year running that we’ve achieved this!
What does this mean for you?
Your information is safer with us. Cyber Essentials certification means we’ve been independently assessed and proven to have strong defences against the most common cyber threats – the ones responsible for around 80% of cyber attacks.
Think of it as similar to a food hygiene rating for a restaurant, but for cybersecurity. It shows we follow best practices to keep your data secure.
What we’ve implemented
To achieve this certification, we’ve put robust controls in place across five key areas:
- Firewalls and secure internet access – protecting our network boundaries.
- Secure system configuration – ensuring our computers and devices are set up safely.
- Access control – making sure only the right people can access sensitive information.
- Malware protection – defending against viruses and malicious software.
- Security updates – keeping our systems patched and up to date.
Why this matters
Cyber threats are constantly evolving, and we take our responsibility to protect your information seriously. This certification demonstrates that we’re not just talking about security – we’re actively maintaining high standards and having them verified by independent assessors.
Our ongoing commitment
Achieving Cyber Essentials isn’t a one-time event, and we’re not stopping here. We’re already working towards Cyber Essentials Plus – a more rigorous certification that involves hands-on testing of our systems by independent security experts.
While Cyber Essentials involves a thorough self assessment that’s externally verified, Cyber Essentials Plus goes further with technical testing to validate our security controls in action. We’re committed to maintaining and exceeding these standards to protect your data and give you peace of mind.
