After graduating from university, I found myself working for an investment company in Malta, which turned out to be quite different from my initial expectations. However, this experience provided me with valuable clarity about my career aspirations: I wanted to help people.
During an eight-hour delay at the Maltese airport, while trying to get back home, I had a lot of time to research independent financial advisers who prioritised people’s welfare above all else. Equilibrium’s name kept coming up with its strong reputation for how they treat their staff and clients. I was lucky enough to be given an opportunity as a trainee in 2017.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work at Equilibrium is seeing prospective clients, initially with a lot of financial concerns and nervousness, make significant progress after working with us. They gain the confidence and clarity they need to enjoy their money and make a positive impact on others.
At Equilibrium, everyone leaves their egos at the door and is willing to help in any way, which makes it a great place to work. This creates an excellent work environment, offering the chance to learn, grow and collaborate with some of the most talented individuals in the country.
Outside of work, I have a passion for football, cricket and travel. Living close to both Old Trafford’s for the past few years has been both a blessing and a curse. Witnessing some fantastic cricket, and some underwhelming football! Additionally, my partner and I have a 6-month-old Corgi who is taking up much of my time recently.
