The Care Conundrum
Here, we will take you through the different stages of care and share real-life client stories so you can see how this works in practice.
As many of you are probably aware, we were involved in raising money for Key 103’s Mission Christmas in the lead up to Christmas. It is a charity which donates toys and gifts to the less fortunate children of Manchester, hoping to bring a smile to their face on Christmas morning!

We had an amazing response from clients in 2013 and managed to raise a remarkable £3,340, so this year we upped the target to £4,000, but did we beat it? (Find out below)
As well as donating this year, we wanted to help a little more so some of the EQ team spent a day at the Mission Christmas HQ where they helped with tidying the warehouse to ensure it was ready for the gift sorting to begin, then started to organise the toys into age categories, ready to give to the children.
Equilibrium clients played a massive part in helping this cause by donating either a gift or cash when they joined our team for Christmas lunch, and once again there was a great contribution from all. Some clients donated gifts for a particular age range and others donated cash with which we then bought gifts that we thought were suitable for girls and boys aged 12+. We decided to focus on this age group in particular as we noticed when helping at the warehouse that it was the age range which received significantly less than the younger bracket.
We would like to thank all clients who donated this year, and here is how their donations in particular helped children across Manchester this Christmas!
-£4,655.85 raised for Mission Christmas (£655.85 over target)
-Gifts donated to give 20 children a smile on Christmas morning
-With the total of gifts and money donated via Equilibrium, 175 children were given gifts(50 more than last year)
In addition to the cash we received, a number of clients also donated gifts and in total we alone have managed to help around 175 children across Manchester, normally deprived of presents this Christmas.
Manchester is the worst hit region for child poverty in the UK with 1 in 3 living in poverty which means 150,000 kids were not expecting a visit from Santa. We’re delighted to have supported this great appeal to which the total amount raised for Key 103 Mission Christmas this year was an astonishing
£1,610,484.40 – meaning over 50,000 children got a surprise on Christmas Day!
We are thrilled to announce that Equilibrium has once again been honoured with the prestigious Investors in Customers (IIC) Gold accreditation.
