The Care Conundrum
Here, we will take you through the different stages of care and share real-life client stories so you can see how this works in practice.
We recently awarded a youth club a £500 grant to be able to continue the fantastic work they do with young people in the local community.
Set up to support young people from Blacon aged 7-11, Blacon youth club Catch22 helps develop confidence, social skills and positive friendships, whilst encouraging members to give back to the wider area through regular community projects such as gardening.
We were delighted to award a £500 grant to the group as part of our Chester Community Scheme. The club, supported by volunteers, was in such dire need of funding that without funding it would have been forced to close its doors to the public in April.
Catch22 is the second group to receive a grant since we launched the Equilibrium Chester Community Support Scheme in 2016. Now in its second consecutive year, the scheme enables local charities and organisations to apply for grants to further support the work they are doing in the Chester area.
The grant will be used to sustain the youth club, covering the cost of activities, group leaders, resources and expenses. Speaking about the grant, Gary Saunders, project worker at Catch22 said:
Over the years, the club has experienced a reduction in services as well as several changes to the way it is funded. Despite these challenges, we have managed to remain operational and provide support to thousands of children. We are delighted to have been brought back from the brink at the eleventh hour thanks to Equilibrium’s kind donation.
Applications for the third quarter of 2016 are now open. To find out more information and to apply visit here.
We are thrilled to announce that Equilibrium has once again been honoured with the prestigious Investors in Customers (IIC) Gold accreditation.
Client Manager, Simon Lister, and childhood friend Jon Massey complete an inspirational swim for Andy’s Man Club.
The Community support scheme continues to champion local initiatives that make a real difference to people’s lives.
