Equilibrium’s Founder and Partner, Colin Lawson, won ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the North East Cheshire Business (NECB) Awards last Thursday evening. The award marks the second consecutive year we have won at the awards, after we picked up the accolade for ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ last year.
Colin said:
When I first had the idea to start the business, then called Applewood Financial, I had never been a financial adviser, never dealt with a client directly before, never run a business and I had no clients to my name – so to say I took a huge gamble would be an understatement. To have now been recognised as ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ is fantastic. I’m very proud that the judges decided that I deserved the award and it’s brilliant to receive that sort of recognition.’
Equilibrium was also shortlisted for ‘Team of the Year’ and ‘Excellence in Customer Service’.
