The Care Conundrum

We are pleased to announce we are teaming up with Key 103 again this year and we need your help!
As you may be aware, last year we teamed up with Key 103 Radio’s Mission Christmas Cash for Kids appeal. It was a huge success as we managed to raise £3,340 from the generosity of our clients and staff. The money was used to purchase a great range of presents for those children who may have otherwise received nothing on Christmas morning.
We are pleased to announce we are teaming up with Key 103 again this year and we need your help! If you are able to do so, we would be very grateful if you could help us to try and make Christmas a little more enjoyable for those children in the region who are unlikely to receive the sack full of presents that our own families are probably used to.
What is it?
Cash for Kids is a charity to donate toys and gifts to the less fortunate children of Manchester over Christmas.
Why?
Manchester is the worst hit region for child poverty in the UK with 1 in 3 living in poverty which means 150,000 kids are not expecting a visit from Santa this year.
What would we like you to do?
We would love our clients to purchase a gift to donate to the cause and bring it with you to our Christmas Party. However if you are stuck for ideas, we will provide envelopes at the Christmas parties, so you can make a cash donation with which Equilibrium will purchase suitable gifts.
Additional Information
- The children receiving the gifts will be aged between 0 -18 years. However, babies and the age group 13-17 years typically receive less, for the latter probably because it’s arguably the hardest bracket to buy for! Equilibrium would particularly like to help out these children so whilst gifts appropriate for any child will of course be gratefully received, it would be great if those tricky teenagers could be given consideration. Please ensure the gifts are new and unwrapped.
