The Countess of Chester Hospital were the latest to benefit from our Community Support Scheme.

The funding will be used to provide arts and crafts materials specifically suited to teenagers. These carefully chosen resources will help ease patients’ boredom, encourage them to express their emotions and become more engaged, receptive and cooperative.

Speaking about the grant, Ngozi Ikoku from Charitable Funds said:

Here at the Countess of Chester Hospital, we are always looking for ways to improve the care we offer. We believe our patients and their families deserve the very best, and charitable donations like this one from Equilibrium allow us to provide important extras that improve their comfort and engagement during their stay.

Thanks to Equilibrium’s kind donation, our new materials will allow staff to undertake more group and one to one sessions, as well as helping to keep teenagers on the ward engaged, particularly those who are bed bound as they have to lie on their backs for weeks at a time with limited movements. It’s fantastic to have been awarded the funds from Equilibrium’s Chester Community Support Scheme.

If you are a charity or non-profit organisation and would like to make an application you can find out more about the scheme here.
